KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy visit from Sarawak Public Works Department (PWD) led by its director Ir Dr Cassidy Morris at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia, on Friday.
According to PWD in a statement, the visit marked the first such courtesy call since Cassidy was appointed as the director in May 2024.
“The objective of the visit was to discuss the department’s direction and exchange views on development projects, especially infrastructure projects carried out by the Sarawak Public Works Department.
“Also discussed was the implementation of federal government projects after Sarawak PWD was recognised as a Technical Department according to Treasury Instruction 182.
“This grants Sarawak PWD the authority to administer federal government development projects implemented in Sarawak,” said PWD in its Facebook page.
The top management of department was also present during the courtesy visit.
