KOTA PADAWAN: The residents of Kampung Sorot Bunuk are now relieved as their new, fully equipped and comfortable multipurpose hall has been completed and officially handed over to the village community.

The hall was built through the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) fund costing RM400,000 allocated by Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Dr. Jerip Anak Susil.

This multipurpose hall will serve as a centre for various activities for the communities, providing space for weddings, meetings, and other generic events by the government and private sectors.

Before the official handover, a thorough inspection was carried out by the village committee, headed by special officer to YB Keron Mapus, and representatives from the Public Works Department (JKR).

The inspection resulted in few minor damages being identified, and the contractor has promised to repair it in the near future.

The Village Chief and the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) will oversee the progress of these repairs.
