BINTULU: The reconstruction of SK Sungai Tisang is 90 per cent completed. Work on the RM12,500,880 project began on July 15, 2020.
When completed, SK Sungai Tisang will be transformed from a dilapidated into a modern school, said Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development Datuk Majang Renggi during a working visit to the school yesterday.
Also present were Bintulu District Deputy Education Officer (Planning Sector), Yusup Harbi, Bintulu Public Works Department Division Engineer, Lau Pit Hwa, SK Sungai Tisang head teacher, Richard Jale and a representative from the Bintulu Division Resident Office, Nicholas Chan Tze Haw.
Majang was confident that the new four-storey school building with 12 classes would be able to provide a conducive, comfortable and safe environment for its students.
The Samalaju assemblyman said,”This is in line with the goal of the Sarawak government which emphasizes education for children in this state.”
