KUCHING: The Sarawak Health Department has moved its Covid-19 screening centre from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) to a new area here for people wanting to get tested.

The screening centre now operates at the State Youth and Sports Complex, Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce, located a few blocks away from the hospital, and it aims to minimise the significant number of patients presenting themselves at the hospital.

In a statement issued yesterday, it said that the centre is open daily between 8am and 5pm.

For those who need testing, visit the Youth and Sports Complex and not SGH.

Criteria for evaluation of persons for Covid-19 screening includes those having close contacts with Covid-19 positive cases as well as for those having fever or sudden acute respiratory tract infection with any of the following symptoms such as shortness of breath, cough and sore throat.
