SRI AMAN: Sarawak’s assistant Chef de Mission for e-sports, Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor, is calling for more young talents to join the state’s team for the upcoming Malaysia Games (SUKMA).

Despite securing only one silver and one bronze medal in the recent SUKMA, the Lingga assemblywoman expressed pride in the team’s performance against professional players from other states.

“I hope that in the next SUKMA, we will see more new, fresh, and young talents joining the Sarawak e-sports team,” she said in a Facebook post.

Noorazah said that setbacks should be seen as opportunities for growth.

“I believe that success is not built upon achievements, but rather on failures and disappointments,” she added.

“Therefore, today’s failures should not be a measure of future achievements as long as we are determined to continue learning.”

She also expressed gratitude to the Sarawak e-sports athletes, noting that some of them may not be eligible to participate in future SUKMA editions due to age restrictions.

“I hope that this experience will enhance your skills and motivation in whatever career path you choose afterward,” she added.
