KUCHING: The construction of the new SK Pulo, which is categorised as a ‘smart school’ is expected to be fully completed by February 2025.
Deputy Minister of Utilities and Telecommunications Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi stated this while inspecting the site of the new construction of SK Pulo here recently.
He informed that the project would be funded by the state government through the Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA).
“This school can accommodate 900 students and has 30 classrooms. And it also provides three classrooms for the needs of 75 preschool students,” he said adding that the school building could be used by April or May 2025.
Abdul Rahman, who is also the Pantai Dalam assemblyman elaborated that the school is constructed as a smart school as it uses smart technology in its school management, learning system, the canteen which will be a cashless transactions, and a start scanning system to record student attendance at school.
He also said the school would be equipped with an indoor hall that could accommodate 375 people at one time and has an open sports court.
He hopes the school will be able to produce many excellent students in both academic and co-curricular fields.
“Thank you to the state government for building this sophisticated new school. May this school become the best school in Sarawak in the future,” he concluded.
