KUCHING: The Wan Alwi Tabuan Jaya Mosque has been equipped with a new women toilet.
In a statement, Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii said that his office had allocated RM123,600 last year for its construction within the mosque premises.
This move aimed to address the inconvenience faced by female congregant due to the location of the existing toilet, which was located outside the mosque building, causing difficulties especially during nighttime.
“At the request of the mosque, my office agreed to channel the funds to cover the cost of the construction,” he added.
