KUCHING: Sarawak’s head coach, David Usop believed the two new star imports Milos Raickovic of Montenegro and Singaporean Mohamad Sahil Sulaiman are able to shine for the staste team and make a difference.
He hoped they can strengthen two different positions in the team when face the remaining matches of the Super League in 2017 after Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
According to David, despite training for only three days ahead of the match against Perak, both players made quite an impact on the squad.
“On the rest period of this month, I believe both of them will be able to adapt more with other players,” said David recently.
He hoped that Sahil and Milos can improve the quality of their individual performances in line with management’s expectations to help contribute positive results for the team in the future.
Meanwhile, David also revealed his plan to hold several friendly matches in order to keep the players’ momentum.
“In addition to training, we will likely to hold a series of friendly matches.
“The matter is still under discussion and prospective teams are yet to be known,” said David’s adding on the possibility of his squad flying to Kuala Lumpur.
They are also likely to invite teams to come here for the same purpose.
The Sarawak players are given a week off on Thursday (May 25) and will be back for training on June 5.
