KUCHING: The temporary closure of TVS newsroom after one of the staff members contracted Covid-19 will not affect the shows aired by the TV station.

TVS chief executive officer Suhaimi Sulaiman said TVS broadcast journalists start presenting the 8pm news from their homes from today (Apr 18) onwards.

“Not even Covid-19, will stop us from doing what we do best; bringing the latest news to our viewers. We just have to be creative,” he said in a TVS statement.

He also mentioned that to live up to their mission of delivering fresh and inspiring contents, TVS will continue to serve the viewers with informative and entertaining programmes.

TVS pointed out that the closure of the newsroom does not dampen the spirit of the staff as they are aware that the show must go on.

The broadcast journalists who will be presenting the news from their homes are Suhaimi himself, Steward Dawi, Priscilla John, Nur Suhaida, Connie Grace, along with their anchorman Khairil Zharif Affindie who is currently at a special quarantine centre.
