KALAKA: The practice of ngabang (goodwill visit) during festive season is a solid proof of the multiracial harmony and rapport within the multiracial community in the state, said Mohamad Duri.

The Kalaka assemblyman said this when attending the Gawai Dayak celebration at the Lenggain longhouse, here.

His presence at the longhouse was a proof of  the strong bond between the people’s representative and the residents here.

“With the practice of ‘ngabang’, this will not only show our multiracial harmony but it also shows our strong bond of brotherhood with one another despite our differences in religion, and race,” he said.

Following his visit at Lenggain longhouse, he also visited other longhouses in the area on in conjunction with the recent Gawai Dayak celebration.
