KUCHING: More than 100 people turned up to attend the ‘Ngabang Raya 2017’ at Dewan HIKMAH, Petra Jaya here yesterday.

Organised by the Chief Minister’s Office, it also saw the presence of the Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg, Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, and other ministers, assistant ministers, as well as state assemblymen.

State Secretary Datuk Amar Haji Mohd Morshidi Abdul Ghani said that the event was an opportunity for civil workers to celebrate the festivities together as well as strengthen ties with one another.

“I believe that all civil workers practise good values and by having events like this, we can strengthen the friendships between us.

“This will in turn enable us to work to implement our duties and responsibilities properly and efficiently,” he said during his speech.
