KANOWIT: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Ngemah will set up branches in all six polling district centres in the constituency.
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report, the six areas are Kajah, Bat, Sengayan, Mapai, Bawan and Pedai.
Ngemah assemblyman Anyi Jana said the establishment of the branches was important to strengthen support and smoothen the administration of the party at branch level.
“Through the branches, the party can recruit new members, implement programmes and get voter feedback,” he said at the Majlis Suai Kenal PRS Cawangan Bawan at Rh Vincent Paong, Sungai Bawan here on Thursday (June 30).
Currently, there are only two PRS branches in Ngemah, namely Bat/Sebelu and Bawan.
