BINTULU: It is not easy to deliver food aid to the needy folks who live in remote villages and longhouses here.

But founder of Bintulu Extrameal Francis Ngu Hown Hua said he and his team would continue to ensure that these folks have food on their table during the movement control order (MCO) implemented to curb the spread of Covid-19.

He told Suara Sarawak that since last week, the non-governmental organisation (NGO) had delivered food aid to 1,000 rural folk from 620 families who were dependent on river transport.

“The difficulties they face has made our team even more eager to help them even though we are aware we are risking our own lives in the process.

“For urban areas, we do not have much of a problem delivering the aid to the needy. In fact, those who have not received the food aid can come to Ing Hua Store at Jalan Sultan Iskandar,” said Ngu.
