KUCHING: Non-government organisation (NGO) Hope Place Kuching is urgently in need of more than 200 packets of milk powder for needy children and is seeking the public’s help to donate the items.
Its founder Kelvin Wan said the organisation needs 30 packets of milk powder for babies aged twelve months and below, 100 packets of milk powder for children aged one to three, and 100 packets of milk powder for children aged four to six.
“We also need 50 packets of XXL size diapers and 100 packets of L size diapers for children with disabilities,” he said in a statement today.
Other items needed include 80 packets of 1kg Milo and 300 boxes of biscuit.
“The public can also donate cash for us to buy the items,” he said, adding that 198 needy families are under the care of the organisation.
On another note, he said Hope Place also handed over five rolls of plastic bags to frontliners at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).
“The plastic bags are mainly used to store patients’ X-ray films,” he said.
