KUCHING: The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) continues day fourteen of the statewide disinfection exercise with the involvement of 53 personnel yesterday.

According to State Bomba assistant operations director Tiong Ling Hii, a total of nine disinfection operations were carried out throughout Sarawak.

Two operations each were carried out in Samarahan, Bintulu and Limbang while, one operation each were held in Kuching, Miri, and Sri Aman.

In Kuching, State Bomba Kuching Zone chief Henderi Ardimansyah have informed that bus sanitisation works were carried out yesterday evening.

“A total of eight buses have been fully sanitised around 5pm at Pullman Hotel.

“The buses have transported 98 passengers from Kuching International Airport to the designated quarantine centres.

“The sanitisation work involved a total of 40 personnel from Bomba, police, Civil Defence Force (APM), and the Health Ministry (MOH) yesterday,” he said.
