SERIAN: Drugs which police believe were meant for distribution in villages around here were seized with the arrest of of nine individuals during a three-day operation recently.
District police chief DSP Aswandy Anis in a statement, said during the Feb 23-25 operation codenamed ‘Ops Tapis’ police seized four straw tubes and a plastic packet containing crystalline substances believed to be methamphetamine.
“The drugs weighed 2.01gm with a street value of RM500,” he said, adding they were to be distributed to 10-15 users in villages.
“All of the suspects aged between 17 and 40, were brought back to Narcotic Criminal Investigation Division (NCID) office where they tested positive for drugs.”
Investigations are continuing.
