KUCHING: The enhanced movement control order (EMCO) will be enforced in nineteen new localities in the state.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in announcing this on Wednesday (Sept 1), said the EMCO would be enforced in 10 longhouses in Betong district while the other areas are in Bintulu, Sri Aman and Lubuk Antu districts.

“In Betong, Rumah Bawie at Rapong, Rumah Lebin at Muton Baru, Rumah Denil at Menyalin Baru and Rumah Sabal at Batu Lapan in Debak, Rumah Micheal at Sebangkoi, Rumah Sibat at Penurin, Rumah Lugat at Penyelanih Kiba, Rumah Langan at Nanga Mara, Rumah Joseph at Jambu Kerampak and Rumah Bayai, at Melaban will be under EMCO from Sept 2 until Sept 15.

“Bilik Sewa above Yeo’s Motor shop and Justrite 708 workers quarters at Kidurong Industrial area both in Bintulu and Rumah Miah at Kampung Munggu Ridan and Rumah Betie at Kampung Jaong Asal in Pantu both in Sri Aman are under Emcio from Aug 31 until Sept 13,” said SDMC.

Also in Sri Aman, Rumah Bisop, Kampung Rapak Gelu in Pantu and Rumah Dennis, Kampung Sawa Ili in Lingga are under EMCO from Sept 1 until Sept 14.

Rumah Ujak, Pengansah in Engkelili, Rumah Endawie, Nanga Jela in Batang Ai and Rumah Ubam, Lio also in Engkelili in Lubok Antu district are under the EMCO from Sept 1 until Sept 14.

SDMC has also extended the period of EMCO at Rumah Machau, Nangga Kumpang, Engkelili in Lubok Antu until Sept 7.

Meanwhile, the EMCO at Rumah Gon, Nanga Serian, Baleh in Bukit Mabong and Bilik Sewa (above the Protective Insurance Service shop) in Bintulu ended today.
