MIRI: There will be no road closures during the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah’s pit-stop here on September 9 and 10 as part of their “Kembara Kenali Borneo.”
However, police urge the public to park responsibly to avoid disrupting traffic during the royal visit.
“We appeal to everyone to ensure smooth traffic flow by being mindful of where they park,” said Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu at the police headquarters monthly assembly today (Sept 5).
Further, Alexson said that over 200 officers here will be on duty during the two-day royal visit.
The police is well-prepared for the King and Queen’s arrival and their subsequent journey to Bintulu.
Alexson’s deputy, Supt Mohd Sabri Zainol, was also present at the assembly.
