Branch chief Salihin Den said the case reported in the print media happened in Peninsular Malaysia.
“So far the ministry here has not received any complaint regarding imitation face masks,” he said.
According to Salihin, normally when involving imitation goods, the owner of the goods or brand would lodge an official complaint with the office, to enable the ministry to check the authenticity, before any action would be taken.
He added that the ministry would always monitor the supply of face masks from suppliers.
