MIRI: Residents of two villages affected by floods on Monday (June 29) do not have to evacuate.
According to State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), Kampung Long Bemang and Kampung Long Panai only experienced floodwaters of less than a metre as of 11am on Monday (June29).
Moreover, the floodwaters were slowly residing in Kampung Long Bemand which has 600 residents in the 100 rooms.
At Kampung Long Panai the water level slightly rose to over a metre due to overflow from Sungai Apoh.
As at press time, Bomba in Miri did not initiate any evacuation operations in the area.
