KUCHING: Sarawak CID chief, SAC Datuk Dev Kumar clarified that there was no foul play in the case of a Unimas student who was found in a pool of blood after she fell down from the second floor of her dormitory last Monday afternoon.
Dev confirmed that they have interviewed several witnesses including her roommates, friends and a family member.
“So far, we have found no evidence of foul play. The rumour circulating in the social media that she may have been pushed by her boyfriend is utter nonsense and untrue. Neither has the police pulled anyone in for questioning.
The victim is still in a coma at the Sarawak General Hospital. We hope to interview her once she regains consciousness. In the meantime, we urge social media users to act responsibly and not spread baseless rumours about this case,” he added. Deval so said the case is being investigated .
