KUCHING: Eleven Fire and Rescue Services Department (Bomba) personnel with one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) and one Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicles rushed to the scene of fire at Lorong 2, Kampung Siol Kandis in Kuching yesterday after receiving a call at 1518hrs.

The operation by Bomba team and the vehicles ended at 1534 hrs.

Headed by PBK II Nooruddin Bin Ismail Talab as Operation Commander, the team, upon arrival at the fire scene, found out that the fire was already extinguished by the house owner.

According to report received from Pusat Gerakan Operasi Bomba Sarawak, the fire at the unnumbered house started as a result of a six year-old child of the owner who played with fire outside the house, causing the wooden wall to catch fire. No structure damage or injury was reported in the fire, according to the report.
