KUCHING: The Sarawak government has no plans to construct a new Bumiputera Court in Mukah District.
Datuk John Sikie Tayai (GPS-Kakus) said that at the moment, there was sufficient space available at the Mukah, Dalat, Matu, Daro and Tanjung Manis district offices, to accommodate the needs for Bumiputera Court – related matters.
He said this in a response to the question by Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi during the fourth day of the 19th State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting here today.
When asked by Abdul Yakub on the number of Bumiputera cases in Mukah and manpower to handle the cases, Sikie said there are currently 24 Bumiputera cases, managed by six officers.
Meanwhile, there are also two Bumiputera cases in Dalat, three in Matu and nine in Daro.
