KUCHING: Police permits are now not required for entries to Sarawak effective Monday (Dec 7).
This is the latest decision made by Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) on Sunday (Dec 6).
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, in a press conference on last Saturday (Dec 5), had also announced that the government had decided to allow inter-state and inter-district travel without having to apply for a permit from the police effective Monday (Dec 7).
However, police permits are still needed for areas under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO).
He also said the government had agreed to lift the three-per-vehicle rule but the limit would be based on the seating capacities.
