KUCHING: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has firmly emphasized his commitment to a principled approach in governance.
“While it is true that there have been individuals who may have faced consequences during my tenure, I firmly believe in upholding the integrity of the law.”
Anwar expressed that it is not within his authority to initiate investigations or prosecutions, as that lies with the appropriate institutions responsible for upholding justice.
He affirmed his role in directing security institutions to carry out their duties with firmness and bravery.
Anwar also rejected the notion of using his position of power to suppress or oppress individuals.
He said he aspires to be a leader who upholds justice and fairness for all, steering away from immature politics that involve exploiting the weaknesses of others.
