KUCHING: Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi has given his assurance that there will be no shortage of chicken for the Chinese New Year celebration, which is just days away.
“K&L Farming Industries has been ensuring that supply is sent out to supermarkets across Sarawak for the past 30 years.
“There are also other farms who supply to supermarkets, and this allows supply across Sarawak to be sufficient,” said the Sarawak Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunication.
He added that K&L Farming Industries has 22 branches operating in and outside of Kuching.
He was speaking to reporters after a visit to its factory in Jalan Penrissen here on Monday (Jan 16).
Meanwhile, Dr Abdul Rahman called for a higher level of hygiene in all factories.
“I understand that a new factory will be built next to the current one. I hope the practice of hygiene will continue.”
Besides a visit to K&L Farming Industries, Dr Abdul Rahman together with Sarawak Islamic Council president Datuk Misnu Taha and Sarawak mufti Datuk Kipli Yassin also visited Choice Ria Supermarket in Samariang.
