KOTA SAMARAHAN: There is no shortage of new recruits for the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) thanks to overwhelming applications from youths.
First Division commander Major-General Datuk Md Din Abu said the ATM incentives appealed to the current younger generation.
“I noticed a very encouraging response from youths around the country.
“It could be the salary factor. It could also because of the benefits of joining ATM,” he told reporters here, yesterday.
Maj-Gen Md Din revealed that most of the applicants were from Sabah and Sarawak.
This had caused an influx of new recruits while simultaneously solving the problem of insufficient ATM members — a common issue back in the 90s and early 2000s.
