SERIAN: Folk here have been advised not to go to the vaccination centres (PPVs) unless they have already gotten an appointment.
Serian District Officer Lim Hock Meng said vaccination on a voluntary or walk-in basis is not accepted at the PPVs.
He said the vaccine is only for residents who have been given their appointment through the MySejahtera app, Resident’s Office, District Office or their respective community leaders.
“No walk-in is allowed for the vaccination at three PPVs in Serian — Serian, Tebedu and Siburan community halls,” he said.
He added that if there are new instructions with regard to the vaccination process, it will be informed from time to time through the Sarawak Public Communication Unit and other mass media.
Meanwhile, Serian Division Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force deputy chairman Dr Edmund Shin Chin Vui also reminded the people to check their vaccination appointments via the MySejahtera app.
“Those who have gotten their appointment are urged to be present at the given time to avoid congestion at their respective PPVs,” he said.
He also urged vaccine recipients who are unable to attend on the scheduled date to request for postponement through the MySejahtera app or call the hotline.
