MUKAH: An administrative officer from Mukah Resident’s Office, Nolin Ak Gendang was elected chairman of Mukah MARA Junior Science College’s (Mukah MRSM) Parent-Teacher Council (Badan Muafakat) for the 2017-2019 term.
She succeeded former chairman, Haji Jaafar Haji Zaini, who opted not to contest despite a sterling performance.
An annual general meeting held at the college recently also saw the deputy chairman Pakasa Bin Haji Agat who is also general manager of Mukah Farmers Organisation retaining his post.
MRSM Mukah lecturers Mohd Sofrie B Mantaril and Farahanim Bt Zahri were elected secretary and treasurer, respectively.
The exco members are Sulaiman B Jauri, Manuchihr Smith, Alvernia Agnes Ak Lubat, Haminah Bt Saat, Lucy Lau Ming Eng, Mohammad Yusop B Busrara, Mohammad Helmi B Abdul Halim, Norfatihah Bt Romeli, Safwan B Razali and Henry B Siyu.
Meanwhile, the Muafakat (parent-teacher organization) is fortunate to have the Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, as the patron, with Tellian Assemblyman, Yussibnosh Balo, as the advisor.
The college principal, Haji Maznan Maamor is the Ex-Officio.
