MUKAH: Team spirit is crucial for an organisation to progress for without it everything will be chaotic.

“Team spirit is very important to ensure we are always in one team, course and direction,” said Food Industry, Commodities and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Atom,
He was speaking at the closing of the Department of Agriculture’s Mind Development and Transformation Seminar and the Sarawak Agricultural Games (SUPERSAR), at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Mukah Campus, here, yesterday evening.

In addition, Rundi said, senior employees need to share their hardships, experiences and knowledge with new employees, to ensure they always carry out their responsibilities well and love their jobs.

He said a love for work should be present in everyone because it helps them be more responsible at work.
He also stressed the need to be proactive in carrying out every task given.

He said everyone should pay full attention to new things that need to be done right and not wait for instructions to be proactive.

Rundi also reminded all members of the Department of Agriculture to continue to work together and maintain good relations with each other.

Team Miri won the overall title of SUPERSAR 2024, the runner-up was Team Samarahan and the third place went to Team Kuching.

Natalia Kalang and Rizal Abdullah were crowned as the best female and male athletes. Both of them are athletes from the Miri team.

The winner of the ‘100 Days Biggest Loser Challenge’ was Abdul Qayyum Aman, the runner-up was Jong Hock Phin and in third place was Christina Ong.

In addition, Farisa Albert Ulie was crowned Queen of Agriculture, followed by Jasika Puyang Andrew in second place and Sendry Bakat in third place.

The competition to create the Agriculture Department Club logo was won by Jame Kuh from the Semonggok Agricultural Research Centre.

Also present were Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi, Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine and Sarawak Agriculture Director Dominic Chunggat.
