SEREMBAN: The Negeri Sembilan government yesterday announced a RM2.2 mil allocation to the state football association (NSFA) for the development of the sport.
Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun said the money would be used to prepare the Deer for next season’s Premier League and for grassroots football development.
“The allocation is to ensure football in the state continues to shine. With Tunku Besar Tampin, Tunku Syed Razman Tunku Syed Idrus Al-Qadri heading the management team, I am confident NSFA will achieve it,” he told reporters after a hi-tea session with sponsors of NSFA, here, yesterday.
Also present were state Secretary-cum-NSFA deputy president, Dr Razali Ab. Malik and state Youth and Sports Development Action Committee chairman-cum-NSFA vice-president, Mohamad Taufek Abd Ghani.
Aminuddin, who presented a mock cheque for RM2.2 million to Tunku Syed Razman at the function, said the allocation was also to ensure NSFA be able to pay their players next season.-Bernama
