KUALA LUMPUR: After missing out on a podium finish at the 2017 Kuala Lumpur Sea Games, national youth shooter Nur Izazi Rosli is eyeing the opportunity to win at least a bronze at the 2019 edition in the Philippines this November.

The 19-year-old from the Bukit Jalil Sports School hopes that her experience in the last two international tournaments will help her win a medal in the women’s 10m air rifle event in the Philippines.

“In the 2017 Sea Games, I got fourth place in the same event and hope to get a better position (this time) because the difference between myself and the bronze medalists (in 2017) was not much,” she told Bernama recently.

She scored 616.3 points in the 12th Asian Airgun Championship in Taiwan in April, and 618.1 points in the third round of the World Cup in Munich, Germany, last month. – Bernama
