KOTA SAMARAHAN: Nurseri Sarang Pipit is different from other plant nurseries as it operates up to 10pm.
Its founder, Dahiri Saini, 54, said that the business started about three months ago and has a different concept by operating from 10am to 10pm daily.
“This concept has received good response from customers who like to come in the evening, especially at the end of the month or when it’s payday week,” he explained.
He said this at the opening ceremony of Nurseri Sarang Pipit by Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang at Kampung Sindang last Saturday night.
Dahiri added that the purpose of the nursery was to house several plants, including creating hybrids, and that he plans to expand the herbs in the nursery.
He also added that he had a lot of tropical forest plants and that some of them are quite unusual.
“What I dream of for this nursery is for us to be able to cultivate and nurture customers’ interests towards such plants. For example, there are some plants which they are not interested in but when they come here, their perception is changed.
“This is because there are various types of plants that have been improved on and I hope that this nursery would progress further,” he added.
Nurseri Sarang Pipit is cultivated by Dahiri at his home compound located at Lorong Sindang 2 in Kota Samarahan.
The prices of plants offered in this nursery starts from as low as RM5 to RM500 depending on the species.
