KAPIT: Pelagus assemblyman Wilson Nyabong Ijang presented minor rural project (MRP) grants amounting to RM78,400 to 13 non-governmental organisations comprising clubs and village security and development committees (JKKKs) under his constituency yesterday.
Among the recipients were Kelab Sukan Rekreasi Kembara Kapit, Parent Teacher Association SK Lepong Baleh, Sarakup Indu Dayak Sarawak Pampang Kapit, JKKKs Nanga Semawang Majau, Telok Gimang Baleh, Nanga Elik Sut, Kerangan Pulau Sut, Biro Wanita Rumah Sabang Nanga Baya, Nanga Mujong Baleh, Jawatankuasa Kerja Pengurusan Bencana Bahagian Kapit and Kelab Polis IPD Kapit.
The presentation ceremony was held at Pelagus PRS Service Centre along Jalan Tiong Ung Hung here.
During the function, 11 students also received bursaries totalling RM11,650 to enable them further their studies at various institutions of higher learning and universities.
They recipients are Saffany Dolly, Emelly Sain, Nyayun Pengabang, Beckham Ngumbang, Macdonny Sulaiman, Wenny Rimang, Canddie Kuja, Hilda Sebie, Vendvica Maria, Amylia Anam and Gloria Ponga.
