SIBU: As Covid-19 cases in the country continue to rise, it is vital for Malaysians to follow the government’s standard operating procedures (SOPs), said chairman of Sibu Municipal Council (SMC), Clarence Ting.

“With the increase of Covid-19 cases in Kuching, please avoid travelling to other districts within these two weeks.

“Also, stop eating out and opt for takeaways, online orders or delivery services,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (0311).

Ting also hoped that all companies and department heads would allow their staff to work from home during this period of time.

He pointed out that the basic SOPs to follow included recording the body temperatures of participants, providing hand sanitisers, wearing face masks and practising social distancing at all times.
