SARATOK: Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri has called on Muslims to observe the fasting month of Ramadan meaningfully.
“Muslims must be keeping track of the upcoming fasting month which is less than 10 days away.
“I hope that each mosque and surau management committee has also prepared religious programme and welfare programmes for this Ramadan,” he said after visiting Saratok Pemanca Sahari Gani at the Saratok Islamic Welfare Trust Board’s (LAKIS) office here on Tuesday (Mar 14).
On the outcome of the discussion with LAKIS, he explained it had to do with the programmes organised for this year.
He hoped the community will practice almsgiving during the month of Ramadan.
Mohamad Duri added that every year, Saratok also organises its arch decoration competition during the month of Ramadan.
