The Sarawak Storytellers Association hosted a memorable monthly family storytelling event, providing children and parents with a warm and delightful Father’s Day afternoon. The event featured engaging stories, creative clay art, and the highly anticipated launch of the newly released picture book, “ARAM MEH GAWAI”. Attendees were thrilled to meet the author, Tay Yit Ping, in person, adding a special touch to the celebration.
Storytellers Aunty Sze Lyn and Grace Jie Jie captivated the audience with their enchanting storytelling, bringing stories to life for both children and parents. Their performances were a highlight of the event, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. In conjunction with the book launch, the organisers also arranged a special Iban dance teaching session, allowing children to experience and learn traditional dance.
The event was generously sponsored by The Hills, Kuching, providing a beautiful venue and a special surprise for the children. Their support was instrumental in ensuring the event’s success. Additionally, Goceli delighted attendees with delicious free ice cream, adding to the joyful moments for the little ones.
