BY MAYA GREEN
On the cusp of easing, so to speak
Of the tension that’s in the air
It’s like before the storm starts to break
The welcome rain, will clear the despair
What is needed, is just the expose’
The stories of men, who will inspire
Of men who live lives, of a rarity
One of uncompromising integrity
They’ve shown, a thing of true beauty
Is not tied to its relevance
As a social signifier’s importance
No, in fact — it’s far from it, you’ll see
Integrity is like a thousand suns
Shining bright across many universes
It’s like the energy that drives the verses
Keeping everything intact, as they dance
