KUCHING: The Padawan 4×4 Adventure Club and the Kampung Emperoh Karu Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) will jointly host an off-road vehicle expedition to Gua Rembang — an emerging tourist destination in Bung Tabak — on Sept 21) starting at 8 am.

Padawan 4×4 Adventure Club president Ramses Tawang said the four-kilometre hiking activity to Bung Tabak will also take place simultaneously, followed by exploration of Gua Rembang.

He invited off-road drivers, hikers, and cavers to participate in the event;  there will be no charges for participants for all three activities.

Village chief Noing Sijim said the JKKK plans to develop Gua Rembang and its surrounding area into a tourist attraction, and the Gua Rembang Expedition aims to introduce the area to the public.

“Those who make it there will surely be amazed by the natural beauty, such as the unique rock formations inside the cave, the river flowing within the cave, and the stunning forest, alongside wildlife like swiftlets, bats, and insects.
