KUCHING: After 19 years of selling banana fritters at a stall in front of the family home, the experience has inspired Azreen Abdul Rahim d to take up business.

Azreen said he has been helping his father sell banana fritters since he was in primary school and this indirectly nurtured his interest to run the family business.

“It is not just about helping to run my father’s business but it is something that I am interested and passionate about. I’ve been involved with this entrepreneurial activity since I was in primary school,” he added.

The 28-year-old worked as an office boy before deciding to sell banana fritters and fried chicken full time, out of his passion for the food business.

Azreen also said the small family business which operates in Kampung Tupong Ulu receive continuous support from the public as well as nearby villagers.

Alhamdullilah, we have been in business since the year 2000 and we are still going strong,” he said.

Azreen revealed that he planned to open up an eatery in the future to further expand the family business.

“I have big dreams for this business and I want to open up an eatery in the future.

“I believe that the food industry has much potential worth exploring so I will work hard and do my best to improve the quality of services as well as products,” he added.
