More than 3,000 came to witness the official commissioning ceremony of the Long Lama bridge by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg yesterday.

The RM67 million double-land bridge over Batang Baram has been named after former chief minister, the late Pehin Sri Adenan Satem. Among those accompanying the chief minister were his deputies Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Tan Sri Dr James Masing, Deputy Speaker Datuk Gerawat Gala, Coastal Road Assistant Minister Datuk Julaihi Narawi, Law, State-Federal Relation and Project Monitoring Assistant Minister Sharifah Hasidah Syeed Aman Ghazali and Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau.
