KUCHING: Only one Supplementary Bill Supply (2016) 2017 to be tabled during the first meeting of the second session of the 18th State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting, which starts on 11 May, 2017.
According to State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Amar Haji Mohd Asfia Awang Nasar, the bill will be tabled by the Second Finance Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh.
“This Supplementary Supply Bill (2016) 2017 will be tabled by Wong, with first reading on the 12 May, while the second reading will be on 16 May,” said he told a press conference held after the DUN pre-council meeting held at the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera (PBB) headquarters at Jalan Bako, yesterday.
Asfia also said a total of 411 questions had been received, of which 366 for oral answers, 74 for written answers while one question was rejected.
He pointed that those questions for oral answers were from of 49 Assemblymen while the 74 questions were from 11 Assemblymen.
“This time seating receives a total of nine motions but one of the motions requesting the sitting to only use English language was rejected,” he disclosed.
Asfia refused to comment further on the rejected question when asked by reporters.
The DUN sitting will be held for eight days from 11 to 22 May, with no sitting during the weekend.
