KUCHING: A dog found itself caught in a rather awkward situation shortly after it successfully managed to climb on top of the pillar of a gate.
But after it got to the top, it didn’t know how to proceed to get down.
The incident unfolded when the dog appeared to try to get out of a housing compound in Bormill Estate Friday afternoon.
Somehow the dog managed to scramble its way to the top of the pillar but remained perched there as it was unable to find its way down to the other side of the fence.
The animal provided quite a sight to passers-by who weren’t too keen to help it down for fear of being bitten.
In an unrelated and dissimilar incident, a dog did not take kindly to a postman who was coming to deliver the mail.
The 42-year-old postal worker was bringing the mail to a house in Sungai Rait, Lambir on Friday, when he was jumped by the canine.
Apparently, he did not realise that there was an unfriendly dog there.
The man managed to free himself from the animal but not before it got its teeth into his right leg.
It is not clear how bad the man’s injury is but he had lodged a police report.
Sources said the dog belonged to the owner of the house.
