KEPALA BATAS: Police received a report on the dissemination of pamphlets on Christianity placed in the letter boxes of 30 homes in Taman Kuala Bekah, Penaga here on Saturday.

Seberang Perai Utara (SPU) OCPD, ACP Noorzainy Mohd Noor said the report was made by several residents in the housing area after finding the pamphlets on Christianity titled ‘How To Know God’ in English and Malayalam languages in their post boxes.

“The residents claimed that they realised about the pamphlets at 6.30am and according to the Kawasan Rukun Tetangga (KRT) sector for the area, they did not see any vehicle or suspicious looking people in the housing area.

“The incident was the first time it occurred in the area and following inspection, the content of the pamphlet talked about Christianity and God and could be read online through the website also provided in the pamphlet,” he said, adding that the police had seized all the pamphlets.
Noorzainy said police were tracing the group disseminating the pamphlets and further investigation was ongoing. – Bernama
