BAU: Police arrested a woman suspected to be an online gambling top-up agent in an operation codenamed ‘Ops Dadu’ in Bau town today.
District police chief DSP Poge Nyaon who confirmed the case, said a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) team raided the premises around 12.15pm.
The team detained the 24-year-old woman and seized her smartphone and RM100.
The case is being investigated under Section 4(1)(c) of the Common Gaming House Act 1953.
If convicted, the suspect can be fined up to RM50,000 or face a jail term of up to three years.
