KUCHING: The ‘Forage@The Hills’ food festival’s ‘Aglio-Olio Eating Contest’ was a success as it received a warm reception in the midst of our transition into endemic phase.

To win the contest, the participants had to be the fastest among the competitors to finish the plate of ‘aglio-olio’ and a cup of ‘bandung’ provided before shouting ‘OOO-HAA’.

Minhajul (left on stage) expresses his excitement while being interviewed by the host after winning the competition.

Minhajul Hossain Moyeen, 22, a Bangladeshi student undertaking the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Robotics and Mechatronics, came out on top among the 10 participants who signed up for the eating contest.

He thanked The Hills Kuching for hosting this festival and could not hide his excitement after winning the grand prize, which is two vouchers for a buffet dinner at Pullman Kuching Hotel.

“The ‘aglio-olio’ was really good and I enjoyed eating it even though I have to eat it really fast in order to win.

“I would like to thank The Hills for hosting the event and I will enjoy the buffet with these vouchers,” he said.
