SIBU: Mosques and suraus in the Daro constituency are urged to increase their spiritual activities during Ramadan.
Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad said that the mosque and surau management committees should organise spiritual activities in their respective areas to strengthen the bond among residents.
“Let us together enliven the mosques and suraus in our respective areas, fostering unity among the people. May every deed we do be filled with blessings and goodness,” he said at the presentation ceremony of Minor Rural Projects (MRP) N.43 Daro at the Al-Muhsiniin Mosque here today (March 15).
During the ceremony, Safiee presented MRP grants totaling RM124,000 to 21 mosques and suraus in the Daro area, along with donations to several NGOs.
He hoped that the aid would be used for spiritual activities involving all residents.
Also present were representatives from the Daro District Islamic Religious Affairs Office Ustaz Abdul Syukur Nasir, Penghulu Jebli Ngok, Penghulu Bahari Selakong, and Deputy Chairman of the Daro Malay Welfare Trust Board Yusuf Bakeri.
