MIRI: Spending times visiting to an orphanage home can be a rewarding experience.

On Friday, there were lots of laughter and joy at the Pusat Jagaan Anak Kesayangan Kami in Jalan Pujut 8 here when 12 personnel from Miri Bomba Air Unit led by the unit’s detachment commander Senior Superintendent Roslan Aziz dropped by.

The entourage was greeted by 37 children at the home aged between five and 12 years old.

Roslan when met later revealed that they wanted to do something fun and giving positive impact to the children.

The two-hour programme, which started at 10am, was filled with joy and fun activities apart from a motivational talk by Roslan.

“We want these children to know that people care about them,” he pointed out.

During the visit, Roslan and his entourage also brought some household items and goodies to give further delight to the children.

It was Miri Bomba Air Unit’s inaugural visit and they plan to do more in future.

“Today’s programme is known as ‘Bersihati’ which is a combination of ‘Bersih and Hati” Roslan said.
