KUCHING: Orson Liyu is hailed as one of Malaysia’s top icons in the fashion industry. Starting off at the age of 14 as a male model, he has risen to be one of the most sought-after male models in the country. Orson continues to climb the fashion ladder by garnering accolades from modelling, hair dressing, make-up, image styling for local and international TV, fashion magazine and the music sectors.
Some of his major achievements:
• Appointed as image stylist for international movie actress Michelle Yeoh’s ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’ movie premiere in Malaysia in 1997
• Awarded for being one of the top four creative makeup artists of 1999 by Yves St Laurent
• Official final round evening wear designer for Miss Malaysia World 2000
• Awarded by Moèt & Chandon Tribute to Fashion Designer in 2001 • Official evening wear for Elaine Daly in world final of Miss Universe in Panama
• Invited as head piece/ accessories designer for Swarovski Spring/Summer 2003 exhibition show in Malaysia
