SARATOK: Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri said direct information sharing is important, because the government wants every development plan, initiative and assistance scheme offered to benefit the people as a whole.

According to him, the government’s main focus is that all development outcomes are felt by all in the state.

“I thank the Sarawak Premier’s Department for the effort to organise a briefing session and explanation of the Sarawak government’s Post-Covid-19 Development Strategies (PCDS) 2030,” said.

He said this when officiating at the 30th Political Secretary Outreach Programme which was attended by approximately 450 KMKK and JKKK members at the Sri Krian Community Hall, today.

“I am confident that with this grassroots approach, you as community leaders and village chiefs (KMKK) and members of the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) will have the opportunity to receive accurate information on the latest developments in various initiatives and physical projects that are being actively implemented in Kalaka.

“In addition, the policy and direction of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government as stated in the PCDS 2030, namely the focus on Sarawak becoming a developed region can be clearly understood,” he said.

He hoped that from now on, the grassroots leadership would be able to act proactively by contacting the relevant officers or agencies directly to obtain further information on the various initiatives provided by the government.

“I also hope that the information obtained throughout the day should not be kept or used by yourself only.

“You as grassroots leaders must play a role in sharing and disseminating all information to your subordinates in your respective areas.”
